FIGHT UNTIL YOU REACH THE GOAL……

“ If fate is out to defeat you, if fate is out to dishearten you, never give up, do not loose faith and importantly heart, set up a good fight until you defeat fate”.
Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting. Such is the positive thinking that great men have given to the rest of the fellow human beings. The great scientist A.P.J.ABDUL KALAM, who dared to spell out a vision for a country, was a person who fought his way from the streets of Rameshwar , Tamil Naidu to the top of Scientific community in India. He worked as a newspaper vendor and he even had to sell his sister’s ornaments for his education. His mind was ignited with dreams for India’s development not only in technology, but also in the development of it’s teeming millions. It is this dream that kept him going till his last breath. King Bruce, who drew inspiration from the spider when he was defeated in his seventh successive battle and had taken refuge in a cave, is an inspiration for all of us. These people never allowed fate or failure to overtake them. At the end , I would like to remind everyone about the message which Swami Vivekananda gave to young men and women “ Arise, awake and stop not until the goal is reached “.

Your Life, Your Choice
People all around the world underwent turbulent times and though we face some losses and sufferings we still came out on the other side. And we owe to ourselves to make the most of the opportunities that are in front of us. As teachers not only it is our responsibility but also the privilege to guide the young minds that will eventually lead us into the future. At the same time students have to foresee their futures, identify their goals or orchestrate their plans and execute them in the best possible way. Achieving a goal is not an easy task. It takes planning and perseverance to be successful. Life is not about fulfilling short -term desires like buying mobile or bike or car etc. These things will give momentary pleasure. Life is all about achieving long term goals, to be tough in present time, to survive on basic necessities, to burn the midnight oil, to go for everyday strict preparation for the exams and to remain self-motivated. At the specified age you will be able to achieve best things of the world. You are not only the ray of hope for your parents, family, even the society, the country also expects your fruitful contributions. So, my dear students work hard and forge ahead. Be sure, God has designed everyone’s destiny. The need of the hour is to be self-disciplined, diligent, punctual, courteous, confident, responsible in your approach.

Tolerance and Patience –Important Ingredients of a beautiful life

“How patience and tolerance, be positive about everything. At the end, you will be the winner.”
We always tend to say that Life has become very difficult today. But, if we analyze, we will find that life was always like this and the survival of the fittest is the perennial mantra. It is imperative that in pursuit of our efforts to reach our destination, we may get enchanted, bewildered and disoriented and then our inbuilt attributes come to our rescue. These attributes are our sheer strength, which help us in bringing us back to our journey path to achieve our goal. Patience and Tolerance are two such traits, which are two of the most important ingredients of a peaceful, successful and beautiful life. But we often get confused with these two words and tend to consider them as synonyms of each other. Patience is synonymous with words such as understanding, endurance, composure, and restraint. Patience helps in moving towards our goal with perseverance, diligence and tenacity. This indicates about our inner strength of dealing with all obstacles. Patience is the outcome of confidence, proper planning, coordination of resources and time management. Whereas, Tolerance gives you strength to accept facts during the journey to goal. It is not about losing confidence, rather it may be termed as Plan-B, when the pursuit of reaching goal is getting jerky and is losing track. The virtue of tolerance includes all moral values, ensures the development of a progressive society and embodies the meanings of humanity. Learning to be tolerant helps us to build endurance and confidence by facing and overcoming obstacles. Nature is a great teacher. The tolerance of the Earth gives us days and nights in the span of 24 hours every day, and the tolerance of the flowers before they bloom ultimately helps in pollination, which provides us with delicious fruits to savor and also gives nectar to the bees to produce honey. And this is why we also need to be tolerant because only then we can understand our true nature and work accordingly on our goals. It also means you accept that others are different and have different abilities. If you can appreciate these differences, you are said to be tolerant. Patience is the ability to keep cool under trying conditions and not letting self to fly off the handle. A positive attitude while hustling helps us go the extra mile, which can make a huge difference. Had the ant not been patient and tolerant of the obstacles, it would have given up after the first try itself, but its tolerance to accept the obstacles and ultimately patience pays the dividend in reaching it goal. Tolerance is the ability to accept and live with people who are different from us, treating them with respect and dignity. On the other hand, patience is the attribute of waiting calmly for your turn in a queue. We can develop tolerance and patience by becoming aware of the situation, journey, knowledge and the goals. Let us all try to inculcate these attributes and make our life peaceful, purposeful and beautiful.

FIGHT UNTIL YOU REACH THE GOAL……
Motivation is something that cannot be understood with words but with practice. It means to be moved by something so strongly that it becomes an inspiration for you. Furthermore, it is a discipline that helps you to achieve your life goals and also helps to be successful in life. Besides, it’s the most common practice that everyone does whether it is your boss in office or a school teacher or a university professor, everyone motivates others in a way or other. Everyone suggests that a person lacks motivation, or directly suggests to remain motivated. But, no one ever tells what is the motivation or how one can stay motivated. Motivation means to face the obstacle and find an inspiration that helps you to move further in life. It is a strong tool that helps to get ahead in life. For being motivated we need a driving tool or goal that keeps us motivated and pushes us forward. Also, it helps in being progressive, both physically and mentally. Moreover, your goal should not be big and long term, they can be small and empowering. Furthermore, you need the right mindest to be motivated. As they say ‘Self motivation is the best Motivation!’

Did India really need the NEW EDUCATION POLICY?
The discussions about child’s right to education have taken over the country for a few decades now. There have been many schemes for the educational rights, but did our education system really target on the better future of our Nations’ children or was it just to increase the number of “educated “people in our country? The 10 + 2 format actually took away so many opportunities from us, gave our capabilities a limit when there was so much to explore. The government cannot change the past but decided to change our future, and we are lucky enough to witness as well as experience this new change. The new education system provides us with a limitless range of opportunities with the 5 + 3 +3 + 4 format. The focus for education would be “practical” and not “forced” learning. Even students of class 11th and 12th will not be forced to choose any one from all the three streams; they will have an open sky to decide their future. Not just the youth but people who dropped out of college’s midway can also resume without starting afresh! These are just a few points, our country is getting evolved through this and we see a better future ahead of us. India definitely needed this for its people to “really” be interested in educating themselves irrespective of age and subject. This will lead to a better generation with practical knowledge rather than a bookish one and we hope for the best outcome from US because WE ARE THE FUTURE.

Between your fierce eyes And a stern face Maybe you think you’ve lost yourself Maybe you don’t know where to hide your emotions. Here is where you are wrong! You have a family just look around There are days to feel low but the immediate ones are the one you live for Stop caring about the world Your home is your domain Ignore the negativity you face Always think twice about the loved ones who raised. When you feel pain Look at your mother’s eyes You will see a lady with many sacrifices Look at your father’s eyes Those wrinkles will tell you the story of his life. Aren’t you thankful for it? Don’t leave them! Don’t ignore them! Because of your trivial worries It’s so saddening that I have to write this and tell people about it. This is the basic thing to deal with Don’t make carve for your existence Instead make them feel that there is never an end. A never ending love Can you? Can you make them feel this way? Actually, This shouldn’t be a question, anyway!

THE ORIGIN OF THE ENGLISH LITERATURE

At the very outset it is to be understood that English language is supposed to be a borrowed language. Literalelements from different languages have beentaken to construct what we call the English language. Scholars have a very little idea about the origin of English literature though rationally it can be stated that an extemporary kind of verse may have been crafted and the same may have emerged before the earliest manuscript and this led to the prediction that poetry had preceeded before the prose in English literature. Our knowledge about the poets of that era is very scanty but even then the rich texture of the old English Literature is praise worthy. It amazes the scholars who are able to decode the meaning of the stanzas composed. The above description is designated as the old English Period or the Anglo Saxon Period. Historical back drop The period is a very extensive one as it opens in the 5th century and does not conclude as it is often supposed with the Normon conquest in 1066 but rather continues in prose at least till 1150.The departure of the Romans from the British soil attracted Invaders from north. According to British tradition the English from the continent came as mercineries to help in the defence against the Picts and Scots but they settled permanently in the country and gradually gained possession of major portions of the land and began the christinization of Pagan English tribes .Then came the entry of the Dannes followed by the rise of Wessex among the English Kingdom under the leadership of Alfred the Great. The settlement of the Dannes in the country and the Norman influence on the English Court laid animpact on the literature of the period. It is to be noted that the Anglo Saxons had descended from northern Europe and settled in England in the 5th and 6th centuries. Whatever little is known about the origin of English literature is confined to the Anglo Saxons. It is believed that the language they spoke was English language of its first kind and since then the language has been on its march to the present day modern English . Geofery Chaucer is the father of modern English literature. So the English language that we speak today is Chaucer's English language. He made a comprehensive modification in the language. As stated earlier that poetry preceded the prose. One of the famous poems of Old English is Beowulf. The theme of the poem is continental Germanic and is an epic poem. It is believed that its subject was created long before the present version was composed. Of its actual authorship there is no evidence. Modern scholars consider it to be a reworking literary element by a Christian and is simply not a collection of tales strung together. Its language is incomprehensible to the readers that is it is completely different from today’s English language.

The Fair

When in the mango trees fruits start to bear, Then in India builds up a fair.
Many a children come running here and there, And in enjoyment they jump everywhere.
There are many rides full of fun, And some shops selling toys, sweets and bun.
Round about and round about as they go, On the merry - go - round high and low.
Swinging in the swing boat is too much fun, As if going high and touching the sun.
It's been a long time since I am in the fair, Now its time to get out of the fair, and relish the memories for ever.

Stop Child Labour

Hopeful eyes, happy smiles soft hands, million dreams, is this not the identity of a child? Then why do I see, tears filled eyes, terrified faces, rough hands, and shattered dreams?

Underprivileged of their childhood with overloaded work, handed with hammers, loaded with sacks of sand and bricks at such a childhood stage.

These unfair conditions, not suited to kids, should really be stopped.

Childhood must be enjoyed as, so much to learn, so much to accomplish, but not given enough chance. Raise your voice for these children, who are surrounded by a wall of silence. So lets bring an end to child labor, put a smile back on their faces, give them the childhood they deserve, that has been stolen from them. Fight for a cause Raise your voice
STOP MANIPULATING A CHILD’S LIFE.

DREAMS

In the solitude of dark night, I lay down to rest my eyes, then I get visions so fine, people call it ‘Dreams’, but to me, they seem mere things I think of.

A dream to me is something, I see with my eyes open, for which I plan, work and desire. Dreams to me are something, that are difficult most to achieve, which needs my attention most, for which I shall work day and night.

Dreams can’t be fulfilled, if I sleep, but only when I stay awake, sacrificing my slumber, thriving and pushing a bit harder. So, it applies to everyone, doesn’t matter old or young.

Dream with your eyes open, and stop never, get tired never, If you want to turn your dreams into a reality.

Taking a nap is wonderful, but the most wonderful feeling ever is to be able to make your dream come alive.

IS FAILURE THE END..........?

The world in which we live, especially the Indian society would love to hear and gossip about failures of others. About 30% of students are depressed, 50% are feeling overwhelmingly anxious. In India, one in seven students is depressed. It is the pressure of being in A+ category of student or a topper, that society puts on a student. Every student is working all day and all night with no interest. Some students are pressurized to take up science just because the orthodox mindset of some people who think that if you are in science stream, you are a bright student. Students only want to get into a prestigious school or a college because once having appeared in an exam, when one clicks on the result button, everyone's eyes will land on them. But the question is, 'What if you FAIL?' Failure is the proof that you have tried and are still trying. If you ask me, 'Is failure the end?', there are two choices. Firstly no, as you have to keep trying. Secondly, yes, if you have given up hope. World's richest man, Bill Gates, failed. Albert Einstein, who is referred as 'world's most intelligent person' failed. There is no one who has never tasted failure. We all try, at least once in our lives to reach up to our goals, whether in studies, career or our relationships. Failures should be normalized. Many students attempt suicide because they fail. Remember, you are not a failure nor a disappointment until you stop trying.

BEING UNDERWATER

Have you ever seen?
The beautiful world,
Apart from human world,
That, at present, lies underwater.
Starting from a small lake,
And reaching up to the huge ocean,
All creatures living in harmony,
Making it heavenly.
Fishes zooming and diving smoothly,
Under the water,
Chasing and playing with each other,
All different from one another,
From a fish so small to a whale so magnificent.
Some are small and some are huge,
But all living together.
To the creatures present on land,
It is merely a body of water,
Hiding beneath in itself a world.

Covid-19 and our Education System

While many students were not fortunate enough to have access to education, many of the privileged ones attended online classes. No doubt our Education System was greatly shaken up by this pandemic. During the beginning the students as well as the teachers were confused but eventually, we all accepted the online mode and continued our studies. These have been really tough times for everyone, especially the students. From exams being online, no physical interaction with friends or teachers, lots of assignments as well as stress ,the students have faced a lot. Yet we did not give up and are giving our best in our studies. This challenge forced the students as well as the teachers to come out of their comfort zones and adapt to the new mode of education. The demand for better internet connection and cheaper but good quality smartphones led to a lot of development in our technical sector. The coronavirus had negative as well as positive impact on our society but it depends on us how we utilize it, whether we use it for our self-development or complain about the drawbacks.

Tolerance and Patience –Important Ingredients of a beautiful life

How patience and tolerance, be positive about everything. At the end, you will be the winner.

The discussions about child's right to education have taken over the country for a few decades now.

An Illusionary World

What if the world is an illusion?
What if we are nothing but mirrors,
Reflecting the reflections that fall upon us,
What if all our sorrows were mirage?
It never stays forever and vanishes soon,
What if all our thoughts are borrowed?
All of it are just the virtual images Of Expectations,
What if all our actions , stolen?
What if all that we fell is conditioned?
Always in need of a medium for propagation,
What then is real?
What then is real?
An Extraordinary life,
To the ocean , I declare ,
And then the stillness.
A sense of loving warmth everywhere ,
The ripples from pebbles,
What gives the sense of reality?
What then is real?
What then is real?

An idea a day makes the world a better place

Everything is an idea. The ability of the human brain to come up with an idea is an incredible privilege for human beings. All people have ideas. They have the potential to change the world, for better or for worse. You and I have so many ideas throughout the day, but we never stop to document them or even act upon them. Imagine if no one had not worked on the idea of the computer, would you be connected worldwide through the internet? What about writing and printing, were they not ideas that changed the world? You wouldn’t be reading this if it hadn’t been for those ideas. From Democracy, free market, Feminism to Amazon, Instagram, and Netflix, all were ideas that changed how the world works. Ideas are everywhere. They are behind all social, economic, and political acts. They are the inspiration for art, literature, and movies, which, for generations ahead, become a lens through which they can observe their ancestors, discovering what they thought, felt, liked, disliked; how they lived. They are the instruments for imagining a future. From the moment we walk up to the moment we go to sleep; ideas have made our lives more interesting. An idea a day can make the world a better place! I really believe this. Imagine, every student, every day came up with a doable idea to make the world a better place. Imagine how many ideas we would have. Of course, there should be debate and discussion about how some ideas have the potential to create diversity, inclusion, and equality while others can compromise those. More ideas on how to better those ideas will make them implementable and contribute to making our ecosystem better. Start small, start with your class, move to the school, then maybe your locality, city, state, nation, continent, or world. The universe is your playground. There is no limitation to ideas and imagination. Education is yet another methodology and tool to support you to generate more ideas. Let us use this fundamental right to make ourselves more valuable, let us ideate together. I believe your young and enthusiastic minds have the potential to change the world for the better. My idea for today is to keep an ideas journal. What is yours?

When Life Throws You Curve Balls …… SWERVE OR HIT THEM !

We rarely have stress ,worry and problem free life . Difficulties , failures, obstacles and troubles are part of life . If we escape from dealing with difficult tasks, we cannot excel in our field , that may be studies , career and even our own life . Every challenge , every crisis is an opportunity . The harsh conditions of life make us tough and more capable. It's the hard knocks of life that soften our rough edges , shape us into something more refined and resilient . It is all about learning to handle problems, obstacles and challenges with a positive attitude and change perspective . So, we should enjoy all the colors of life as a Smooth Sea never made a Skilled Sailor .

A Brief Story of Online Classes

When due to COVID-19 pandemic all the schools, colleges and institutions got closed, a new mode of education - 'Online Mode' popped out worldwide. It was through this mode that the students worldwide were able to keep up with the studies. Online classes acted as the only source of education in the pandemic period. In this mode, objective questions were mostly asked which developed objective point of view for exams as well as the art of elimination in students. In some cases, The online videos of subjects like Biology, were more beneficial. There is a well known saying that a coin has 2 sides, many students faced difficulties in joining the online classes due to network and connection problems. The writing habit of children decelerated. They didn’t study seriously and many of them cheated during exams. They were, in turn affected by these mistakes as they didn’t understand several topics of particular subject. The students developed the habit of sticking to phone and wasting a lot of time. They became careless, unenthusiastic, dishonest, less energetic and not so serious towards studies. They also had many doubts related to subjects like maths. The mindset of development was badly affected. But it was through online classes that we were able to grasp at least something instead of nothing. It taught the students to be honest to themselves, use this new mode as an advantage and not to forget the principles of a good and disciplined life. As the current cases of Covid have been reduced, offline classes are being conducted. We hope that the offline classes should be conducted continuously and this pandemic gets over as soon as possible.

Life Lessons That Corona Virus Taught Us

Corona virus is very harmful for us but it has given few life lessons that we should follow in our daily life. Before 2020, all the things were going right but in China the scientists discovered a virus called COVID-19. After a few days the virus spread all over the world and the government held lockdown. All the people were in their homes, the schools closed and all were following COVID precautions like wearing mask, sanitizing hands and maintaining social distancing. Online classes through apps like Whatsapp and Google Classroom started. Before COVID, the students went to school and did notorious work. When the school used to get over, children boarded their buses and after reaching home, they threw bags here and there and relaxed on couch watching television. They never sanitized their hands whereas after COVID, they learnt to be more alert and started to sanitize their hands every now and then. Due to lockdown, there was almost no traffic on roads and even in air, leading to pollution free atmosphere. Though Corona took away many lives but has also taught us many lessons for our present and future as well. Learning lessons from this experience, we all must be very cautious and focus more towards a green environment around us.

Effective Ways to Study

Gone are the days when we used to succumb to the fear of sitting on the study table biting nails constantly with a pile of books lined up in layers waiting to be gazed at, with so much stress to even count every second of breaks we take and get back to the notes and books at God’s speed. What are we doing?? Are we following a correct, positive, fruitful way to deal with our fear of studies? Probably No. Here comes a few effective ways to study which help to fight the fear, the unending strain and stress that we carry.

Study Smart !!

Prepare yourself throughout the year instead of engaging in the last-minute study and struggling to finish the entire syllabus in a week’s time. Spend 2- 4 hours each week on a subject at least rather than cramming it into one week. That helps to reduce the burden of completing the syllabus in hurry.

Make a Routine !!

With the piling syllabus and courses to be finished in deadlines, it’s tempting to fall behind reassuring yourself that you can do it in just a few days’ time before exams. But the process becomes messy. Hence, plan your study and schedule time slots for each subject. Prioritize subject-wise (difficult to easy) and make timesheets. Make sure that all the subjects are covered & nothing left behind.

Pen it Down !!

Its an effective way to memorize what you study if you have a visual aid. Whatever you read or learn by heart write it immediately after you read it multiple times, and make notes out of it. During exam you will visualize what you wrote and it will be easier to remember.

Peer Power !!

Arrange study groups, exchange answers, cross-test each other. Prepare mock test amongst yourselves. Make the study session interesting by organizing a quiz based on the syllabus. Take turn and give marks to make it look like a small school at home. Sometimes friends help you to find out your weaknesses, strengths and potential to rework those areas.

Feel Good Factor !!

This point gets ignored often by all of us. But this is one of the important aspects of studies to say motivated. One needs to think positively to have the required amount of concentration while studying. Hence, the immediate surrounding plays a vital role to emit positive vibes. Organize your study station in a nice way according to your taste so that you feel attached and stay glued to it. You must feel good and love that small area to stay focused.

Take Breaks, Fuel Up!!

We all think that studying 24 hours will do magic, and wonders and bring some superpowers to pass the exams. This 24 hours non-stop study hacks can actually be counterproductive. Your brain needs some rest too. Take breaks to fuel your brain functioning. Know your routine well and plan it accordingly. If Morning is your best time then wake up early to the bright sun, breath fresh and start your day with, plan your breaks during lunchtime. If night time is best for you then take before since you need to stay awake.

Stay Healthy !!

“No time for health today, no health for your time tomorrow”. You are in Marathon, running after best. You need to stay healthy and fit to be successful. Eat healthy, Sleep well and be the best in the crowd.

The Achievements of India in the field of Science and Technology

What an honour
A day to remember
Head must be held high
When whole of the world delights
Among the countries to enter Mars's orbit was mine,
With a peaceful message for world
To greet and imply,
Remarkable achievements
And one of the proudest moments

No one could register miracle
As India did with initial struggle
Now world shall remember
The generous contributory offer
They, our young scientists, have excelled
And marveled
With years of experience from elders and knowledge
It is just like rain's thunder
We, the Indians, do feel proud
And speak of it so loud
With our international presence
In science and technology of space .

Tech – Trends : A New Future is on the Horizon

Technology has sustained us through the pandemic . This break has ignited us to evolve, upgrade and accept the realities of life with high degree of resilience. It is "Vision 20 -20 “, the technology booming stage. The brighter side of Lockdown is that Videoconferencing is initiated with the help of Google Meet, Zoom and Skype. Robots are deployed to fulfill the need of patients in isolation wards by serving them food, medicine etc. In Chennai, Stanley Medical Hospital ,a Robot named “Zafi “ transports food and medicines to patients quarantined in a hotel . Telemedicine technology is used by large numbers of hospitals across US to safely screen and treat patients. Chatbots are used by World Health Organization (WHO) and Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to share information . The CDC has named their Chatbot ‘Clara’. Some well known Chatbots are ‘Siri’ and ‘Alexa’. In India ‘Arogya Setu 'and ‘Delhi Corona’s apps are made which track the number of corona patients and beds available near the location of user. Drones like ‘Zipline' are used to deliver essentials .Facial and Iris recognition solutions are used for screening and we have moved to virtual biometrics. Artificial Intelligence is lending a hand in diagnosing and developing cure for the illness .
So, Pandemic is a panacea in crisis, it is a hidden opportunity to evolve technology to brace newer challenges.

Teenage- The Hard Era of Life

In all ages, a person has different experiences. The period between thirteen to nineteen is the time when a child starts his/ her transition to become an adult. During this age a child has the highest capability to mould his personality for the future. In this period of life a teen develops mentally, physically and emotionally as they grow up into independent and self -reliant adults. At this part of life teens are concerned a lot about how they look, how they dress up, and the most dominant thinking is what others are thinking about them. They have a strong desire to be respected and loved and not to interfere much from others especially from the guardians. This is the age when they develop curiosity to learn new skills which is the most important perspective of this generation. This is the period when teenagers have the highest learning power which will have a deep mark on the rest of the life. So, they should discover their secret talent and shape themselves into a right- minded mature person.

Online Classes – Changing Dynamics The Pandemic has changed all existing rules, From Offline to Online schools.
Online classes are held to continue our studies, But we can't study without our buddies .
Earlier it was much better when we studied in school, As going to school was very much cool .
In the school campus, students no longer roam , With the modern gadgets, they learn at home .
I wish we could go to school as we went before, We don't want to live like this anymore .
I pray that our school reopens, So that we can go to school again.
No doubt online teaching is the need of hour, But can't match conventional teaching's power.
