The G. P. Jalan Memorial School running under the aegis of Ganesh Prasad Jalan Memorial Trust provides good education to the unfortunate and underprivileged children at Tupudana. The school has its roots in the vision of Mr. G.P. Jalan and commitment of Mr. Narayan Jalan to create equal opportunities to the underprivileged students as opulent children get. This will enable them to become self-dependent and secure them a bright future. Presently, the curriculum of school is from Nursery, K.G. & I to X class and they will appear from NIOS. There is a clear difference in the style of functioning of the charitable school. The teachers are dedicated and take special care for providing friendly ambience with love and affection for children. The school focuses on imparting quality education with good infra- structure and facilities which include:

Modern building with all teachers aids

The building was initially constructed in serene and beautiful surroundings. The infra-structure provided ensures the all-round and holistic development of the learners.

Enriched Library

Library provides a scope to enhance knowledge and information, enabling the students to see the world with a view. The school building has an enriched library with books on different subjects of the students’ interest. At a time the strength of 45 students can use the library.

Distribution of books at low cost

The study material, i.e., books and copies are distributed to the children free of cost every session.

Provision of school uniform at low cost

Keeping in view the socio-economic condition of the students, there is a provision of selling school uniform at low cost.


A computer lab has been added to the infra-structure comprising I computers. This fulfils the present day requirements of the learners.

Sports facilities

To attain the desired aims and objectives in life, the physical fitness is given the top priority and all the sports and games facilities are made available to the students.
